Final results: Becker wins mayor seat.

Thank you Bozeman, Montana!

I look forward to serving you as mayor and doing the people's work.

We organized for this race and won the campaign but the real work begins now.

Let's use this momentum to ensure Bozeman is always a great place to live, play, work & raise a family!

Thank you for stopping by the Becker for Mayor website.

The Becker 09 campaign is working hard to serve you!

I love Bozeman. I have had family here most of my life and moved here on my own when I was 18. I ski, hike, fly and enjoy our outdoor resources every chance I get. Although, this alone is not why I live here. The blessings of a  lively and involved community are great. I am proud to call Bozeman my home and willing to do the work to make it the best place to live in Montana. It is my hope that I may apply my decade long service history to this community as your next mayor.

This campaign can be summarized in two words: effective management. Bozeman's local government and City Commission must take a proactive role in addressing the community's economic concerns.  There needs to be more coordination between our  residents, the business community, their employees and our governments to address the economic recovery and budget priorities.

As a former economic development professional, I have championed hundreds of projects with cities, counties, state agencies, divisions of the US government and groups of businesses that have returned private investment to communities. This profession necessitated a working knowledge of municipal and state budgets and the expertise to make recommendations.

Currently, I serve the citizens of Bozeman on the City Commission and  manage a local manufacturing operation, Montana Craftsman Woodworks. I am on the firing lines of the recession having to make every penny count, responsible for budgeting, purchasing, personnel, sales and accounting.  Outside of work, I'm enjoying this incredible fall with my wife, Nolita, harvesting a bumper tomato crop and sneaking in Bridger hikes between campaign work.

We are excited about the campaign, meeting with community groups, local businesses and going door-to-door to find out how the City Commission can best serve the people it represents. If you would like to chat, have breakfast or invite me to visit with your organization, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Warmest regards,
